Located across from a heavily loaded substation on Groton School Road in Ayer, this solar facility provides load relief to the grid during peak demand in the summer. It is located on land leased from the New England Power Company, and has been connected to the grid since December 21, 2016.

Environmental Benefits:

The project is estimated to save approximately 131 pounds of sulfur dioxide, 526 pounds of nitrous oxides, and over 700,000 pounds of carbon dioxide every year.
