About the Project
We continuously evaluate opportunities to enhance the reliability of its energy delivery networks. In the coming months, we’ll be working on a project in Long Beach, NY. All construction activities will take place within our National Grid's property.
This upgrade will increase the systems integrity throughout Long Island, improving reliability of service and will bring infrastructure up to current federally regulated standards.
There will be two phases to the facility upgrade:
Phase one: March 2024 to September 2024
Phase two: September 2024 through October 2024, pausing for winter heating season, and resuming Spring 2026 through Fall 2026.
Our crews will be upgrading existing infrastructure within our Long Beach Energy Facility to increase safety and reliability of our service for our customers. For your safety, please stay away from the construction site and pay attention to signs around the work area.
Project Benefits:
- Updating our infrastructure provides increased reliability and enhances our ability to serve our customers better in Long Beach, NY.
- Infrastructure will be upgraded to federally regulated industry standards.
