We would like to inform you of upcoming work in your neighborhood. As part of our infrastructure upgrades, our crews will be moving our utility located on Crescent Street in Brooklyn, one block East to Hemlock Street. There will be no interruption of service to our customers.

Hemlock Street Upgrade Project

In late February of 2025 we begin the process of moving our infrastructure to provide better service to the surrounding communities. The Hemlock Street Upgrade project begins with 37 test pits to solidify a design plan moving forward.  Once the project construction begins you will see excavation of the roadway, installation of new infrastructure, temporary restoration of the roadway, testing of the new infrastructure, and final restoration of the roadway. We continuously evaluate opportunities to enhance the reliability of our energy delivery networks. In the coming months, we’ll be working to allow for upgrades in the vicinity of Hemlock Street. These upgrades will increase the systems integrity throughout your neighborhood, improving reliability of service, increasing safety measures, increasing sustainability, and optimizing our operations. For your safety, please stay away from construction zones and pay attention to signs around the work area.
