About the Project

The Greenpoint Maintenance Building Rebuild project includes demolition of existing concrete structures, installation of upgraded sewer lines, and rebuilding the maintenance building to house the new control room within National Grid’s facility off Lombardy Street and Porter Avenue. These upgrades will increase the operation team’s ability to work more efficiently and safely. As part of the company’s net-zero commitment to reduce its own emissions, the facility will include solar panels on the roof to supplement electricity for the building.

Project Benefits:

  • Modernizing our Greenpoint Maintenance Center will increase the operation team’s ability to work more efficiently and safely
  • Addition of solar panels will increase facility sustainability
