August 23, 2022:

We’re writing to update you about resuming work to upgrade the regulator station on Montauk Hwy and Old Riverhead Road E. The project increases reliability, service, and retires an older station that will be beyond its capacity.

We will return to regular working hours after Labor Day in September. This will allow us to complete the installation by the winter of 2022. Once the new regulator station on Montauk Hwy is fully operational, we will retire the existing regulator station on Old Riverhead Rd E, during spring 2023.

Restoration of Area:

We will complete the final restoration of the entire area once the project is fully complete in the spring of 2023.

As always, our crews will work to minimize any impacts on the community, including parking throughout the neighborhood. For your safety, please do not enter work zones and be mindful of work zones during and after construction hours. We hope you have enjoyed your summer and look forward to resuming and completing this important project.
