Last week our crews continued excavation, backfilling, and underground infrastructure upgrades on Vanderbilt Avenue, between Dean Street and Bergen Street. Our Corrosion Team was also on site performing gas main work in preparation for replacement. 

At the end of each work day, all excavations will be secured and plated for vehicle and pedestrian safety. Crews will end their work day at 3PM on Fridays to open the street in compliance with the NYC Open Streets Program. 

This week, neighbors can expect:

Construction on the Prospect Heights Upgrade Project began last week with excavation on Vanderbilt Avenue near the intersection of Dean Street. In the coming weeks our crews will be digging a second excavation pit, directly adjacent to the existing pit, in front of 560 Vanderbilt Avenue.
