FAQs: Village Hall Station Project

This project is a regulator station upgrade, which involves constructing new underground vaults, installing new equipment, new vent poles, new telemetry cabinets and associated infrastructure support to the regulator station.

No. This work will be managed so that service interruption will not be an issue.

Construction is set to start in April 2023 and will continue through Fall 2023. Restoration of the area will begin in once work is complete in Fall 2023.

Yes. Our work here requires lane closures on Old Northern Boulevard, in front of Roslyn Village Hall during work hours: Monday – Friday: 7AM – 3PM. Our team is working with the Village and Nassau County to ensure the safety of the streets on which our work will take place and mitigate traffic issues to the greatest extent feasible. A traffic flagger will be on-site during construction hours. Old Northern Boulevard will be secured, plated, and fully re-opened to traffic once work is complete for the day.

No.  As this project will reinforce the existing local distribution system, all of the work will take place within established utility corridors.

While our contractors will make efforts to keep disturbance to a minimum, there will be noise associated with this project. Most of that noise will occur while excavation is underway as contractors use heavy equipment to trench, in addition to noise from trucks backing up or idling.
