2024
Our I&R crew will begin tubing up the station on Monday 9/9/2024.
We expect that this will take us through the end of the month, at which point the station will be fully commissioned. The crews will be using hand tools and accessing the vaults via manhole. They will likely be parking their trucks in front of the vaults for easy access.
Last week crews continued restoration activities on Clark Avenue and Hicksville Road. This week neighbors can expect to see:
- Continued restoration activities.
- I&R teams on-site to inspect cabinets/vaults.
We are approaching the final stages of our work on Clark Avenue and to speed up productivity, our crews were working extended hours, in compliance with the Town of Oyster Bay code over the past few weeks. The backfill and repair to sidewalks and curbs are still in progress.
Milling and paving will be done on Wednesday 8/21 on Clark Avenue up to and including Hicksville Road.
We will not be on-site on Tuesday 8/20/24.

PURGE POINT WELDING
We are planning on installing a small 2” fitting in the circle in image provided on Friday 7/26/24.
The excavations should take place in the AM, followed by the install and backfill same day.
This work should be completed by the time anyone gets home in the area. It will be temporarily restored and then re-dug during our outage on August 7th.

In November 2022 temporary restoration on Clark Avenue was completed. Due to the nature of this work, we will have to come back in the Spring 2024 to finish outstanding upgrades to our regulator station. As the Spring of 2024 approaches, we will post new updates and information for the community. Thank you.

Last week our crews wrapped in front of 64 Clark Avenue and the western purges. They began backfilling on the east side vault and poured the inlet valve supports. Crews poured sidewalk over valve 377. Please be aware of construction and impacts on traffic patterns at the corner of Clark Avenue and Hicksville Road.

- Backfilling and wrapping the outlet pipe of vault.
- Backfilling the inlet valve in front of 60 Clark Avenue and excavate for the vent pole.
- Preform gas in.
- Wrapping the tie-in pieces and backfill outlet pipe in front of 64 Clark Avenue.
- Backfilling to grade in front of 64 Clark Avenue.
- Backfilling the lie locations in front of 58 Clark Avenue and 64 Clark Avenue.
