Greenpoint Facility Upgrades

We are currently making upgrades to our Greenpoint Energy Center and continuously evaluate opportunities to enhance the reliability of our energy delivery networks. This work includes installation of new sewer lines, upgrades to our maintenance control buildings, and upgrades to our Saltwater Pump House and broader fire suppression system. In the coming months, we’ll be working on multiple upgrades within the Greenpoint Energy Center.

These upgrades will increase the systems integrity throughout your neighborhood, improving reliability of service, increasing safety measures, increasing sustainability, and optimizing our operations. As part of the company’s net-zero commitment to reduce its own emissions, the upgraded facility will include solar panels on new roofs to supplement electricity within the new buildings. For your safety, please stay away from construction zones and pay attention to signs around the work area.

Project Benefit:

  • Updating our facilities increases reliability and enhances our ability operate safely and more efficiently when serving our customers in Brooklyn, New York.
