Clean Energy Careers Academy
This program is designed to provide college students at Franklin Cummings Tech, Northeastern University, Quinsigamond Community College, Roxbury Community College, University of Massachusetts, Boston who engage with National Grid mentors and other business professionals to learn about the energy and utilities field.
As part of this long-term partnership, we annually donate $500,000 ($100K per institution) for our Clean Energy Scholars Scholarship to support and encourage more students from historically underrepresented groups to pursue and persist in obtaining Engineering and Craft and Trades-related degrees.
This program provides:
- Career pathway exposure by introducing students to a variety of career paths in the energy sector.
- Mentorship and networking opportunities to foster connections that guide and support students throughout their career journeys.
- Educational institution partnerships where students will collaborate with educational institutions to create meaningful impacts in the communities we serve. Students will also gain a comprehensive understanding of energy concepts and career opportunities.
- Scholarships and hands-on training
- Career opportunities by encouraging students to explore internship and job opportunities at National Grid.
