The goal of our four academies is provide opportunities in the energy industry for people from all backgrounds so they may develop skills for the future, and we may enable an increase in social mobility while we build a sustainable, systematic pipeline of diverse talent so that our workforce, over the long haul, reflects the communities we serve, so that the workforce is equipped to build and operate a net zero system.

Prepares work-ready adults for entry- to mid-level roles within our workforce. Trainees receive a registered pre-apprenticeship certification, technical, and soft skills training and gain hands-on job experience with National Grid employees
Involves college students at Northeastern University, Franklin Cummings Tech, and University of Massachusetts, Boston who engage with National Grid mentors and other business professionals to learn about the energy and utilities field.
Enables high school students to explore energy field careers and topics and learn about career industry opportunities with a focus on clean energy. This academy includes a high school internship program.
Introduces middle school students to the energy industry and provides hands-on activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics education with a focus on clean energy.
