National Grid is once again the regional presenting sponsor for the American Red Cross’ Sound the Alarm campaign, which helps save lives by installing free smoke alarms in homes that don’t have them, and by educating people about home fire safety.

At a March 5 media event officials from National Grid joined those from American Red Cross Western New York region, which announced their goal of installing 350 smoke alarms in 90 homes during a volunteer event on March 23.

Whether it’s supporting our customers in the field during a storm or working with organizations like the Red Cross, National Grid is dedicated to safety and creating positive neighborhood impact and strengthening our communities. These principles align with the pillars of National Grid's Project C program.

There are many opportunities to volunteer, donate to the cause or request a free smoke alarm/fire safety visit from American Red Cross. To do so click here
