National Grid employees continue the company's annual Season of Giving with volunteer events across Long Island. Helping address food insecurity by supporting local food pantries and supporting Veterans throughout December, employees partnered with several community organizations to support friends and neighbors this holiday season.
“Our teams live and work in the communities we are privileged to serve. This Season of Giving, we’re showing our gratitude by partnering with several local organizations to volunteer and provide donations to make a positive impact in the lives of our neighbors and friends. Our employees exemplify National Grid’s deep commitment to our communities,” said Brian Sapp, Director of External Affairs, Long Island, National Grid.
These volunteer efforts are part of Project C, a companywide corporate responsibility and impact initiative, that supports the communities National Grid serves. Project C’s initiatives and programs aim to support at least one of our four key pillars of community building and development: Clean Energy & Sustainability, Workforce Development, Neighborhood Development & Community Engagement, Environmental Justice & Social Equity.
