National Grid employee volunteers with Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso sort fresh produce for the Brooklyn for All Thanksgiving Food Distribution
National Grid and other organizations partnered with Brooklyn Borough Hall’s Brooklyn for All, Inc. Thanksgiving Food Distribution. This was the first Thanksgiving food distribution for Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso. The event supported holiday programs for nearly 100 local nonprofits across the borough. National Grid volunteers helped prepare food bundles for each organization including two turkeys, multiple parcels of assorted fruits and vegetables and non-perishables for all the traditional side dishes. Throughout the Season of Giving, volunteers are participating in various Project C events to help drive a positive impact in the local communities.
“The Brooklyn Borough Hall Thanksgiving food distribution is providing much needed support to help families facing food insecurity, as increased prices are putting a financial strain on many households. Our employee volunteers are committed to giving back during this special time of the year so families can enjoy a holiday meal. National Grid is committed to collaborating with stakeholders to create a more equitable future for every community and customer we serve,” said National Grid Director of Community & Customer Engagement Renee McClure.
