National Grid volunteers were hands-on with beautification efforts at the Garden of Resilience in Springfield Gardens, Queens. The volunteers helped build a walkway, install a fabric barrier on the garden fence, conduct weeding, composting and harvesting fresh produce.

National Grid volunteers partnered with Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences (DIVAS) for Social Justice, an organization that uses technology to foster social change. The Garden of Resilience is the first community garden in the Springfield Gardens, Rosedale, and Laurelton area and is used for youth development and a source of free fresh produce for the neighborhoods.
